When they arrived and I checked them in, they never told me they wanted to pay cash, so since the rooms were reserved with a card I simply checked them in with that. I asked her to verify if that was the payment method she wanted to use, and she went off. Turns out she had emptied the bank account explicitly so we couldn't charge that card, and was shocked that I still had the option to do so. She started threatening me and saying she'd have my job if I made her go overdrawn. It was a simple fix, even if I used that card she wouldn't have been charged until they checked out the next day. I just went back and changed the payment method to cash, but then she refused to pay cash for either room because she was adamant that I had already charged her debit card. It took nearly 40 minutes of me and her husband talking her down until she finally decided to pay. I had like 15 people in line behind her after that. While she was throwing a tantrum, the other people were griping about me messing things up and causing the fuss, but once she was gone they all started complaining about her instead.
