Recently a ResetERA mod went on a massive ban spree for people who disagreed with her about how male protagonists should be reason enough for condemning an entire studio (a studio that had more games with female protagonists than male protagonists btw). You'd be banned for a week for just saying that was ignorant of her. There's an image compilation of that out there somewhere.
