| Chewster 06/15/18 8:14:48 PM #14: | How many times, particularly in the past 10 months or so, has it been explained that women don't bring these accusations up immediately because they're afraid of retaliation and damage to their career, and the idea of false accusations is way overblown? Even years later they are also putting their own careers at risk. It's not cool to have careers ruined for false accusations but we need to make room for the legitimate ones too. I don't have a good answer for what we can do about it. Legal battles can take years and I don't really think it makes much sense to continue careers while waiting for those to go through. I don't even know if doing that is of much benefit to the accused, especially somebody like Chris Hardwick who does shows with live audiences and is bound to get heckled constantly. Maybe she didn't even want to derail his career, but despite not naming him it's really impossible to point to this being anyone else. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
