The incidents like using a parliamentary majority to end the ethics investigation against him (it'd be like Trump just firing Mueller and closing the inquiry), giving a convicted terrorist $10M while welcoming back ISIS fighters without punishment, approving himself a $7B slush fund with tax dollars (he never has to disclose how it is used), interfering in jury verdicts and basically upending the legal system, paying $4.5B for a pipeline KM was building at their own expense, etc... are never brought to light outside of Canada because people "like him." With all that in mind, I still think he's handling the whole tariff thing perfectly. It's the first time I actually agree with him. Absolutely. Normally the guy gets on TV and I just kind of roll my eyes but he's handling this well.
