People that grew up with metric can just as easily use those units for visualizing sizes, capacities and temperatures as people who grew up in the US can with imperial/customary units. Nobody here is saying it's inferior, but you can't argue that an imperial foot is harder to visualize and/or harder to estimate than 30 centimeters.
