Most servers would take a fairly drastic paycut if the restaurant payed them a higher wage but they werent tipped

Maybe. It depends on how much they make from tips. Especially since its tax free... But most of them are taking a gamble, anyway... This would help the ones that are hard workers, but dont make good tips, though...

I know it's the cliche argument but definitely expect way higher food costs if tipping were done away with because the restaurant would have to pay servers and bartenders much higher than minimum wage to keep them from quitting. Servers and bartenders generally do what they do because it's one of the only ways you can make a grand a week or more without getting an education. Maybe implementing a no tip policy would be for the best in the long run but I just personally dont mind tipping

Idk if it would be that much higher. IIRC, the restaurant in California(the one that says tipping is NOT allowed) said the food prices are a little higher, but not outstandingly high. But I could be wrong.

Personally, I do tip. But I also wish we didnt have to.
