The way things play out between Tir and Teo McDohl in Suikoden is also kind of interesting, how your own father is the only one of the five generals you feel obligated to kill (and can't spare), despite the pair having a good relationship throughout the game. King Daphnes from Wind Waker had to make some tough decisions, but his intentions solidify him as a decent father. And of course, we can't forget about Jecht and Tidus, Braska and Yuna, Laguna and Squall, or Noctis and Regis. If we're counting loco parentis, I'd put Sojiro Sakura on the list as well. ---
