Because that's not really a sure way for something to be good. They're two different media's that is written in different ways. Look at video game movies. A lot of the times they get those games writers to work on them because they know what they're doing, right? There's a reason why those movies usually suck. But don't get me wrong, there are comicbook writers out there who can do movie screenplays too.
