The plot and script is so cringe worthy, and some of the puzzles are clearly fake and scripted as well. Very few laughs to be had in the 10 episodes which are all and 70+ minutes, and the ones that are there are due entirely to the cast breaking character and being themselves. I guess they renewed it for a season 2 so maybe people liked it, but meh. Hopefully they lean more towards variety and less towards kdrama for season 2. Actually I saw that people have posted it online lol, I watched the pilot, I see what you mean about the best parts being when they break character, it would really be too boring without that. It's a weird show, like the premise is like Crime Scene, but then they go really really ham on the puzzles and what's funny is it's hard to tell when they're following the script and when they're ad libbing, like the metashow is a million times more interesting than the show. You're also right I think, a big part of the positive reviews is probably just because of EXO or whatever. Well, I'm looking forward to Sejeong so I shouldn't talk lol. But yeah, by your review I know that I'll want to watch the whole thing but it's probably gonna be slow going. But thanks for the follow up! I'm also behind on RM a few eps again, right now I'm on the last couples race. At least I got some more time now that Produce China is done.
