Topic	is there any reason not play on easy mode?

I hear that often, but the only games that I know that do that are old school beat em ups. Anyone have any other examples, preferably more recent ones? I never play on easy, so I wouldn't know Mega Man X8 is the most recent I can remember. Oh word? I actually have and played that game.
