See, this is where the sensationalism is getting to you. "Every death is a tragedy," yeah, yeah. People die, and they do it every day. It's just part of living. Let's look at the numbers.

According to WaPo, 1,102 people were killed in "mass shootings" combined over the last 52 years.

According to the FBI, 1,604 people were killed by knives and cutting instruments...in 2016

5,051 people...died from choking in 2015
