If the company wants to pay him to show up at a meeting he doesn't need to be at, that's not his problem. you make the big bucks once you learn how to leverage entire teams into a more productive state. optimizing meetings is an easy way to do that. example: if a company is reimbursing expenses while working out of state and you find a hotel that is the same quality but 50% cheaper and closer to the work site, you end up saving the company a ton of money and time (which means more money) because of the leverage you gave to the entire team that is staying at that hotel. which means you can justify a bigger paycheck.
