Russia felt pity for other candidates had no chance with lopsided bias, and so wanted to give the unfavored candidates just a sliver of hope. Wait, are all Trump supporters really this naive? Russia/Putin felt that a Trump leadership would be disastrous, so they made sure he won. And they were right! The US is a freaking shell of it's former self. Literally every chance Trump had to do the right thing, he did the exact opposite. Also, having no allies is a problem. Like, your best relationship right now is with Russia (Because they handed Trump the presidency, so he owes them) and North Korea (that one is quite rocky).
