Asking why should someone pay for your healthcare is crazy af nowadays. Haven't you people had enough time to think about this? You're paying for your own healthcare essentially, over time, until you get old and continually need what you paid into. It's like asking why drive a car with a seatbelt, or ride a motorcycle with a helmet. The answer is obvious...because you can't predict the future. Something could happen to you at anytime. The US can afford this. The truth is that, because people on the left don't vote as much as the people on the right, the politics have failed to keep up with the culture, severely limiting freedoms yearned for, and thus happiness.

We have a pandemic in this country right now, where people really want to trust the snake oil salesman. This is the 21st century though. The snake oil salesman shouldn't have a job, but people want to keep giving the rich guy more money, even though it costs a fraction of 1 percent of a fat cat's income to pay the bare minimum of bills necessary to sustain a baseline life in America, compared to most American's using an overwhelming majority of their income to keep up. So why are we so hard for these rich people who don't care about us?

Because you believe you will be rich? Take a stats course. You people underestimate how much luck factors into millionaire-level success.
