It's an entire new show. The 4th wall stuff, and Saved by the Bell timeouts, ruined Ultimate Spider-Man for me. Even if the animation quality is the best of any Spider-Man show ever.

idk, I preferred Spectacular's animation. Honestly, I'm not sure I liked anything about Ultimate.

In more Spider-Man news, Steve Ditko passed away this week. He was 90. Rather he passed away on June 29th, and we are just finding out about it yesterday.

Well, he kept himself to himself, as we know from that documentary where Jonathan Ross decided to track him down.

Fun Facts: Ditko created Martian Manhunter and Doctor Strange too. He was also a recluse too, which is why we just found out he passed more than a week after his death. He learned what we are all starting to understand, people stink, why bother with a great deal of them?

Another fun fact? Ditko was a hardcore conservative, which is something of a rarity in the comics biz.

Good stuff, even with my man crush on Cumberbatch.

I like the guy, but the more stuff I watch the more limited his acting appears. That or he's just been typecast as an aloof jackass.

Spectacular Spider-Man was by far the best Spider-Man show. Ultimate had more detailed characters but worse animation. The new show is better than Ultimate but still a step-down from Spectacular. Some if the character designs are questionable. It seems like someone in the animation studio mixed up the concept art for Harry and Alistair.

tbh, after Spectacular, every Spider-Man series is a stepdown =(
