Not my personal choice, but at least the integrity of the Constitution will be upheld, and we won't get a "my feelings" judge. Religious extremists are the embodiment of "my feelings" judges. Both have their fair share, just wish liberal judges didn't have such a "wide" interpretation of the Constitution. Might as well rip it up at this point. Wonder if it would be better to create an updated Constitution for a clearer standard for the modern age. I would rather have a wide interpretation than a narrow interpretation based on bronze-age mythology. The whole point of the judicial branch is to make sure we don't create reactionary legislation that will hurt the country in the long run. If we have wide interpreters, we might as well scrap the branch because they serve no purpose but to waste tax dollars at that point. I'm not a fan of christian-cult judges, but I don't want a judge that follows the latest, hip trends either. If trump wants to appoint a conservative, that is fine. The issue I have is that he is nominating religious extremists who are mentally unfit for this level of power. I am not really interested in arguing about the merits of liberal vs conservative, I am just saying that a nominee like this woman is extremely dangerous because she has a history of irrational thinking.
