You are sent out at the behest of an oppressed sect of people vs a tyrannical jerk, and lots of the game so far is devoted to how this guy kills the people in funny ways (if that makes sense) it's not as morbid as it may sound. You are also on a timer, because you've been resurrected and the effect only lasts for so long.
