They basically just roam the universe to explore and help younger species advance. So they come to our planet and bring FTL travel, medicine so advanced that human life spans are effectively extended to thousands of years, technology that eliminates hunger/poverty, etc, and they roll it out for us to use all within a year. --- Do good.
