Funny thing about the PoR translation - it changed dialogue to make Ike/Soren seem less like a pairing and for Ike to seem more straight in general. They added in flirty-esque dialogue Ike has with other female characters and changed the final Soren support conversation from "you were the only one who helped" to "you and Greil were the only ones who helped".
