Papa John's has always been awful.

Dominos > Pizza Hut > PJ > Little Ceasar's
(based on the old LC; their new pizza might be better than PJ's, but marketing it as "fast" and "cheap" doesn't make me want to give them another shot...)

Also, John's been a scumbag for a long time. He complained about 5 years ago that the Affordable Care Act would force him to give employees healthcare and raise the price of a large pizza by a whopping 14 cents.
All while he lives in a mansion and was giving way tons of pizzas for free as a promotion w/ the NFL. But no, can't afford healthcare!
Also ignoring that all his other chain pizza rivals would face the same added cost burden, so the price increase wouldn't even make him less competitive in the first place.

Never thought I'd see people defending Domino's of all places.

Since the recipe change a decade ago, they got a lot better. Still extremely unhealthy, but it tastes good now. And they have the best options of toppings, too.
