But we also know this woman wouldnt let the situation go when shes being told no by a manager no less. At some point shes going to have to accept that and leave. But she didnt.

According to the article her issue wasn't being told that they wouldn't accept the coupon, but that they accused her of forging it.

"Sorry m'aam, but this coupon isn't registering in our system, so I can't accept this. I apologize for the inconvenience."

"This looks fake, she probably made this herself."

Two different things.

Who knows how accurate that really is? I've had plenty of interactions with difficult customers and they almost always do whatever they can to paint themselves out to be the victim in the situation. Like, for example, someone will want a refund for something we don't do refunds for and I'll nicely say "Sorry sir but company policy is that we don't do refunds for that product." and then said customer will call over my boss and be like "This rude person refused to give me a refund for something that I want a refund for. A jerk like that has no right to talk down to me in such a way. I spent my money on this and I want my money back!".

Of course it's possible there's misinformation in the article, which is why I said "according to the article". It's currently the best we have to go on as far as actual events go for the moment, however.
