It's a fairly common practice to not let anyone in past closing time, but to serve those who are already entered the store. My supermarket does this all the time. It's possible he really is that fucking clueless. Anyone who has worked as a waiter, a cashier, a bank teller, a bar tender and such, or is a customer who is at least aware, would understand that almost all, if not all, businesses will allow a courtesy amount of time for customers already inside their establishment to finish what they're doing, and they won't let new customers enter after closing hours. --- ... ...
