this may be one of the few things that could qualify me as a germaphobe- i concede to that fact and recognize i am probably in a minority here.

i usually try to politely refuse to hold a tablet, phone or remote belonging to someone else. i've just seen people do some disgusting shit before grabbing their phone like sticking their hands in their mouths while eating, licking their fingers or sneezing directly onto it. regarding things you don't see it's generally known there is probably at least some funk on a phone because everyone uses them in the bathroom, not to mention potential to use the device for pleasure.

i know touching something as simple as a doorknob or handing money is probably going to expose me to about the same amount of whatever, etc but idk what it is- touching a remote/smartphone that doesn't belong to me always gets me in the mindset of keeping my hands away from my face and washing my hands soon after. this is definitely the case when the phone feels greasy and disgusting like they haven't wiped it down ever.

everyone is always insisting that i hold their phone and look at some stupid meme/video so that kind of brings it more into my awareness than say a doorknob or cash.
