Restaurants I've worked at that did this:

Taco Bell
Fazoli's
Subway
Quiznos
Firehouse Subs

Incidentally, this is literally every restaurant job I've held in my life. There are none that I worked where this wasn't the practice.

it should also be noted, with one exception all of these restaurants had push bar doors that you could exit through when they were locked. The customers aren't actually locked in, but people outside are locked out.
