years of appeals. there are peope believe it or not, on death row who are innocent and we have proven that some people in history were executed that were innocent. we have to make as close to sure as we can the person is really guilty before we kill them. cause you can't take that back. that is why personally I am against the death penalty. it's too risky. and America and Japan are the only first world nations that still do it. do we want to act like third world nations?

Literal decades. As in multiple. No excuse for shit taking that long.

Yeah. If you're not 100% completely sure the person is guilty, like if there's even a sliver of a chance they're innocent they just shouldn't even be on death row.
