I instinctively went to look up the MtG cards since, if a term existed, I thought it might pop up in the designer editorial. (That and the cards are always the first thing to come to mind when I hear some of those things used together these days because it was a neat concept.)

Yeah, I have a few of those. And some of them are pretty good examples of what I'm kind of thinking of.

The paired word thing also work very well when someone is trying to name paired weapons for a character. For instance, about 20 years ago (Jesus, I am old), I had a character in an Amber game with twin guns, that were known as the Dioscuri (a reference to Castor and Pollux), and which were individually named "Fulmine" and "Trueno" (Italian for "lightning" and "thunder"). "Thunder and Lightning" would definitely fall into the wheelhouse of what I've been talking about.
