Well, sure.

I mean, I'm the biggest Al Gore fan you're ever going to see. I still have Gore-Lieberman t-shirts from the 2000 campaign. I fucking love the guy. I read his books, too. And I'm still raging about Bush v Gore.

I didn't even particularly like Kerry or Obama... just because they weren't Al Gore.

But in any event, "not stooping to their level" just doesn't work. It took me a while to accept it.

I understood it only in January 2010 when Scott Brown won Ted Kennedy's senate seat basically on the sole issue of defeating Obamacare, which republicans had fucking hammered in the media as being some kind of government takeover of healthcare with death panels and the grim reaper and whatnot. Absolutely ridiculous propaganda.

But it worked. And Scott Brown won.

Playing nice is the right thing to do, but if you do it you just get crushed come election day.
