They knew some of what he had said before was offensive but here's the thing, they still could punish him for what they knew upon further inspection. And the fact that it came up AND generated backlash for Disney AND showed that they had hired a person they would never have had they known the extent of his offensive nature? Fuck him, he deserves to be dropped as he never deserved to be hired. Now then it says via google that guardians 1 released in 2014, but teasers and filming would have started by late 2012, meaning he was on board by then. That's a fuck of a lot different than "stuff from a decade ago" with respect to that point in time. It would have been 5 years and much more recent.
