What I'm saying is that 1) They're terrible people for making an ethics issue political and 2) they're even worse for not thinking something so immoral and unethical shouldn't be banned.

In other words, they're not awful people because of their political views - their politicization of ethics issues is due to them being horrible people. It's the other way around, so in essence we agree in a way.
