context is everything. not everything is a double standard. sometimes one way is fine but the other way isn't. that's just how it goes.

Adding reprensation by taking it away doesn't count.
If you say context is everything, then perspective moderates that context.

Rarely are there justified complaints about adding or making new, fully fleshed out characters.

I don't think you understand; most characters, especially protagonists, are white. Adding more white people to counter black people is literally enforcing an unfair status quo.
