"Monster of the week" stories, every season has to be one long interconnected story. buffy actually did that every season had a big bad with several episodes dedicated to building them up as a threat with the monster of the day usually being something the big bad sent to buffy with about half of each season being random and half being an monster sent by that seasons big bad. --- yusketeer ...
