It was kinda weird tbh. There's a couple Filipinos where I work, and one is this very sweet (and very outspoken) woman. Another is a guy about her age, and one time me and the woman were talking when he walked up, said something, and left. She has a strong accent, but his is so thick I can barely understand him (though I never said anything b/c I didn't want to insult him). After he left, the woman shook her head and said this (phonetic rendering of her accent): "I spee Eenglish, Spahnish, and Tagalog, an' even I donno wha' he say." --- "So much cruelty and madness in these days of despair That's not the way that I am, no, that's not the way that I am." ...
