Topic	IYO, what is more useful to society?

You earned the right to be an asshole the next 10 posts. I'm a dishwasher currently, and it is roughly reflective of my capabilities to function within society. But I also want to be a prof, or at least write articles for journals- but does the world really need another mediocre theorist? Oh shit. Personal topic wasn't even on my radar. Life is too short to worry about the bolded. You gotta do what interest you and say fuck the odds or you end up sitting in a chair watching Netflix for the bulk of your day like me. Would you rather feel mediocre at something you're interested in or do something you have no passion for probably making you mediocre at best anyway? How old are you? I'm 27, so it's not like I really have the benefit of time.
