But you can't have both-you either have the puritanical mindset where they're afraid of their bodies and sex so the entertainment industry says "well we want to show something shocking, can we blow their face off instead?" and in order to keep their misplaced sense of propriety, they'll agree or they'll be grown ups about something natural and harmless and as a result, not feel the need to act like overexcited teenagers over gore. The two ways of thinking aren't mutually compatible.
