| GANON1025 09/02/18 2:39:20 PM #303: | Maria and Rosa were tortured and killed over and over by this other Eva until Beatrice intervened. I felt very sorry for Maria there. It's interesting to see how Battler is rubbing off on Beatrice, and how Beatrice might be seeing herself in a new light by watching this Eva. The connection this witch Eva has to the real one is somewhat confusing. Obviously this witch Eva doesn't "exist", and maybe Eva's nightmares and dreams about what her inner thoughts could do are being represented as visual scenes to us. I understand that concept of there being multiple explanations for the same event, the magical and the real. Still, splitting Eva into two people with two different looks is very odd. It almost seems like, the writer had this idea of Eva becoming a witch but she's too old so he had to come with this complicated inner self stuff to bullshit a way to get a younger Eva to be the witch.
