Leonard was sleeping with Raj's sister Priya at the time, and spent most of his time at Raj's apartment where she was staying after moving from India. To avoid hearing his friend bonk his sister, Raj moved in. Then him and Penny got drunk, got naked, and woke up next to each other. In the morning Priya and Leonard break up because she wants to go back to India and he comes home to find them. It's later revealed they didn't sleep together because Raj went off as soon as Penny went to put the condom on. Nothing happened, it was a stunt cliffhanger. it came up again years later though so at least it wasnt just brushed aside and ignored raj's girlfriend (they broke up after awhile) didnt like penny because raj told her that him and penny once hooked up penny tried to claim it wasnt a hook up but the girlfriend summed up what happened and penny had to agree that it was a hook up no matter how unsatisfying it was --- yusketeer ...
