Having or not having children will never be an evenly-matched scenario. Because the pregnancy only affects the woman's body, that takes precedence over everything else. You would run into a laundry list of issues if men could just 'opt out' of a child when men are not the ones to go through pregnancy. Unfortunately, I don't really see another way around men just having to deal with the consequences of a sexual partner who got pregnant with them. Yeah people just don't understand or don't want to understand that this isn't something where the impact or effort required by both parties is ultimately equal. Also, can you just say 'get an abortion' immediately and be able to extract yourself from child support obligations?
