I remember this because I wasn't a child at the time. That picture of McCain hugging Bush was the kiss of death - even though, I think we all knew McCain was very different than Bush. The point is that campaigning in a campaign year happens. It sucks that the president, if going for reelection, has to spend time doing it instead of, you know their job, but it happens. What doesn't need to happen is all these "make me feel good" rallies which is literally all these are. If Obama went around to different LIBERAL hotspots and gave these types of rallies as often as Trump, you'd have a point. It's also quite funny that you brought up Obama as Trump yelled all the time about Obama just spending time on the golf course and that's all Trump does every weekend.
