@furb

I'm honestly just amazed. Tracing your roots back, not just as a personal interest but as in the whole community knows it too is just mind boggling. That sounds really cool though in a lot of ways. The one traffic light seems like it would be a huge culture shock, hell one fast food would too for me.

That's wild. I have so much more to say but it's all just finding myself astonished at how much of a difference that sounds like to anything I've ever experienced. I really appreciate you sharing all of that (in great detail too). Really means a lot and it's something I've always been really interested in hearing about!

I live in a gated community which feels like a town on its own. All white and no crime reported except for that cat who went missing, but ended up being found by a neighbor who was eaten by a coyote.

Is it a huge gated community or something? I'm sure I'm just picturing it wrong and it's like most gated communities but still.

Not very but there's a lot of students and tourists so it feels diverse when you're out and about

Ya tourist areas really help with the "monotony" of a place IMO.

My town isn't too diverse but my region is and where I moved from. Northern VA is like a melting pot.

I don't know much about VA in general TBH. I'm gonna have to look into it a bit now:
