I didn't do it because I don't need corporations selling my personal data to the government in exchange for some pointless stats I'm going to forget about seven minutes after reading that ultimately changes nothing about my life or how I live it.

You have to opt in for them to store your sample or share any data so this is kinda unfounded.

If you don't mind my asking, how long did it take for them to scan it in and start processing it? Mine's been delivered to their NC lab (according to FedEx) but they haven't touched it yet so my progress is still "in transit"... it got there a little over a week ago and I am getting ants in my pants. How far back can your family trace itself and can you rationalize a lot of what you received? Sorry, I just love this stuff.

Took a month to get delivered because of a shipping error and about three weeks to get processed to generate my reports.

I don't have a family tree that we've created so it's really just telling me my ancestral make up and showing me some general facts about other people that I may be related to that have tested as well.

And I'm not sure what you mean by how am I rationalizing what I've received.

Once I get my raw data I'm going to use a different company to do a genetic health screening.
