When I lived in Vegas there was a girl there that was roommates with my really good friends, and she made out with me a bunch of times and definitely wanted to bone but I felt off about it (plus she was a super annoying SoCal girl) and when I was leaving Vegas, 2 years later, I stayed with them the last month after my lease was up and was waiting on the day my plane left, and I saw Herpes medication in her bathroom. Almost made me start believing in god, cuz Idk why I never slept with her. As annoying as she was, I'd definitely slept with worse and she was actually not bad looking. The girl was decent looking when done up, but I knew she had a promiscuous history. I just didnt think STDs were really that common, which was stupid of me. I wish I had the same feeling you did. I dont know if she deliberately lied, because she assured me she got tested. Maybe she got tested for gonorhrea and chlamydia, but not herpes.
