Good morning, sorry for not being around last night, was occupied. Will be gone much of this afternoon but I'll be around for a few hours before deadline.
Anyway first up since a few people have asked (and Crescent/Zach you don't need to @ me, seeing that notification always make me think I got banned or something, I'll get to questions when I have time don't worry), I thought Zam was town early on for two main reasons. First, there was a post where he asked Ben if Ben was hoping a bodyguard exists. In Puns' recent game, Zam pretty much gave away his role (role swapper, essentially) day 1 by asking people to consider the possibility that it might exist, so I thought he might just be slipping up about his role like that. Second, his big series of catch up posts seemed different than how he usually plays, but in a way I didn't expect from him as scum. It felt like he was trying to be more detail oriented and put more effort into making a case in response to the criticism people keep throwing at him for being detrimental to town, as scum I figured he'd be content to just make brief posts whose logic didn't click for anyone else and let people assume he was being his usual self. So that's why I was wrong, as for why I pointed it out, he was either around or being mentioned by other players, so he was on my mind as someone to give my read on.
Anyway, I don't like FD's catch up post last night/this morning and I would disagree with PJ saying he made similar posts as town before, while it's true in general terms (FD doesn't have much time to play so he makes walls when he's around to ensure he gets his thoughts out), his big catch up posts are usually a lot more focused on the details of the game. He's usually discussing players and their interactions to try to figure things out as town, but that post was just a tangential discourse on mafia theory that didn't really wrap around to any sort of point. Even if he doesn't have much time, he clearly did read the Leo/Plum vote train situations, and yet do you see any attempt to figure out alignments of the people involved? I would expect town FD to have some stronger opinions, frankly. That post was just "look at me, I'm posting like I usually do".
So originally I voted Leo about 90% to see where it went, 10% because his vote on Plum actually bugged me, which makes it interesting that Dumey followed along (Sultan, who voted Leo before I did...hard to say, he's new enough to not know like I do that people make it obvious their vote is purely for pressure as town sometimes). Slight point against them being scum together, I think. Anyway Leo's response has made me feel good about keeping my vote on him, his jump to seeing the people voting him as defending Plum was weak and felt too much like he was using connected events to suggest people might be scum despite knowing it wasn't really that strong. I like the melodramatic vote on Zam though, that was cute.
So I'm leaning scum on Leo/FD. Strongest town read at this point (besides Tony, since who the hell fake counter claims Zam on day 1) is Zach, I feel like I've seen his town game enough to recognize some of his habits. I like Plum and Puns too, Han as well but I've always though he's town when he's scum so I'm a bit warier about trusting that read.
Sultan, why did you ask Zam to explain what a watcher is to you instead of Tony? Did you not notice the whole discussion about the counter claim?
Can someone find that post about bodyguard? is sultan scum bodyguard?
I dont think Town has a vig at this point so itis unlikely but... weird ---
