Liberals do think that the internet in 2018 is a fundamental part of our infrastructure, like water, roads, electricity, etc. Well, something like that at least. The way I read your point here is that liberals should classify social media in the same way. You're not really making a convincing argument here, though, but your line of reasoning opens up for the possibility of hypocrisy on the other side as well - if you think Alex Jones should be entitled to a platform on Facebook, shouldn't you similarly favor net neutrality?
