I usually say "Hi everyone," or "Hi all," at the beginning of a group email. Maybe it wouldn't bother anyone, but does it really hurt you so much to make your conversations a bit more naturally inclusive? Especially if you are in a field which has a particular default... Its not that saying "hey guys" is any better than saying "Hi everyone" or "Hi all", but if you've been greeting people like that for your whole life its difficult to just change it at the snap of a finger. If you're writing an email that's a bit different, you at least have time to read what you're saying and edit it if necessary. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
