I've had people mock me for sticking to the books and ignoring the show completely.

I'll take an unfinished series of 5 good books over a finished TV show that shits itself by the end. There's enough literature out there that waiting for book 6, if it ever comes out, isn't a problem.

Nobody likes the books because they are bad. They read like a TV script which is ironically why it makes a good TV show.

But yeah since Martin can't keep up with the show its gotten pretty bad. I doubt it will be the canon he ends up writing.

This topic seriously seems like it's full of edgelords. GoT is a series that only gets better as it goes, with S7 being more amazing than any other. Don't know what you people could possibly want more besides a hate circle
