| streamofthesky 08/19/18 2:39:24 PM #21: | I've noticed that women tend to prefer to be the "smart" one in the relationship and don't like being proven wrong by their male partner, while as for guys, we're basically taught to just not quibble over stuff (the male ideal being "strong and silent" after all) and that "a happy wife is a happy life." Plus countless media portrayals of married couples where the guy is stupid (usually for comedic purposes) and the woman is sensible and smart, which doubtlessly has a social effect on us. *positions self behind flame shield for the incoming barrage* ...
