The whole point of cutting the cord is to get what I want. What I want is to not be bombarded with 5 minutes of ads for every 10 minutes of programming I've already paid for. When the non cable services start adopting the business model of the networks, it's time to vote with my dollar and look for alternate options.

It's as simple as that. I'm paying the service already. If they're going to get greedy and double dip, it takes away the entire reason I've switched to their service in the first place.

And they can't seem to figure out why the piracy option is so popular...

Netflix already bombards me daily with emails about every program they think I might have the slightest interest in. I'm not going to pay them to watch or even be forced to skip even more advertising for programming. The next step is pharmaceutical ads and car ads which is exactly why I'd left Hulu originally.
