Because i'm in control of the situation. EMT wise it was easy they were in pain or dying I had to control the pain or vitals they weren't arguing with me. The only time it was an issue was with narcan which honestly there is normally a cop around at that point. Marines I was a machine gunner, I wasn't really concerned with people but a lot of military types are assholes.
The Manager thing was the worst so far because I had to show some level of patients with them, but even then I was the type of manage who would stand by my employees if the complaint was foolish. Or those stupid people who think the price tag being different means they get it cheaper.

In the jail what I say goes. I work seg with the trouble inmates so I more or less just say no a lot and laugh when they threaten to kill me. No one has taken a swing at me yet, but they know me from local fighting events (literally impossible to have secrets when you work in a jail). I'm also one of the more respectable guys there, I don't talk shit and I don't start fights. If you actually need something I try to get it for you in a reasonable time.
