That way, you can do some REALLY important stuff. Such as invent magic tools. 1) That's boring. Making people choose just a few things is more interesting. 2) Unless you work on an immortality jutsu first (possibly involving a snake that takes over new bodies), you're not going to be able to master all the magic in one lifetime. 3. You're going to want to priotize what you learn. Even if you have an unlimited lifespan and access to all forms of magic, you have to decide what to work on first. Sephiroth C Ryu posted... Also, don't "invent" the gun if they don't have them yet. That usually ends poorly. Besides, you have every kind of magic, right? Why do you even NEED a gun. If you absolutely must, you can shoot LIGHTNING, so if you must succumb to the weird notion of having a gun in the fantasy world, at least make it a RAILgun. tbh, fantasy settings with magic can create gun-like objects which use magic instead.
