I'm relieved that a lot of you wouldn't think there's something wrong with the artist.

Muscles said it best: You can travel to dark places and not be a messed up person.

It's called creativity. And, sadly, I've met a lot of people who can't seem to make this distinction.

And it's a bit hypocritical of them....because they cherry-pick their negative judgment. They'll see a kid drawing a creepy monster with a big mouth full of teeth and eyes that drip blood...and it looks creepy as hell.....and they think the kid is a "weirdo" or has "issues" because of this.

Meanwhile, they'll go to a tattoo parlor and get a tattoo of a skull on their arm that's dripping souls of the undead from its mouth with a snake weaving in and out of its eye sockets....and that's "totally cool". And they don't think there's anything messed up with the tattoo artist for coming up with it.

Or people who watch horror movies with nasty violent creatures that tear people limb from limb. But the writers and directors aren't weird freaks with issues. They are successful dudes who are absolutely cool in all ways.

It just irks me.
